The House

Sue would like to express her sincere thanks to all those who helped in sorting out Andy’s house, garden and STUFF.  Special thanks to Simon, Jenny, Jess, Tom, Ben, Helen, Nicky, Sarah, David, Paul,  Mandy, Simon, Nick (age 12), Mark, Maria, Iain, Alex, Katie, Nick (senior), Jo, Jess, Kate, Cat, Jane, Harriet and Ollie for help received.  Sue would like to dedicate her new poem  (called ‘Stuff, stuff, stuff’!) to all of you (see the poem page).  Bless you!

The house is now transformed, hot water, boiler, radiators, toilet, electrics, oven, roof, gutter, hole in wall etc I hope all fixed.  2 big truck loads delivered to the charity shop and 1 truck to the tip.  The old bath in the garden and lots of brambles, weeds and rubble have now been removed.  

The new tenants have been doing a tremendous amount of painting and sanding of floors trying to turn the house into something they can call home.

Below is a photo tour of the house taken on 10th November 2012 (contrast these with the photos from the same room taken in August 2012 as Andy had left it).  Hope you like the difference!

The lounge is no longer blue, orange and yellow in alternating blocks around the room which left you feeling dizzy.  It’s nice to see the coffee table that Andy made taking pride of place now.
